Start date: August 2025.

Length of contract: Six years. 

Starting salary: Competitive

Work/study pattern: Complete work-based learning (four days a week) by working within our practice groups. You’ll complete rotations (work placements in different practice groups) across the office to embed the knowledge and skills you’ll be acquiring through your academic studies. You’ll also spend one day per week with our training provider, the University of Law, studying towards your qualifications

Qualifications to be obtained: A government accredited Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship (equivalent to a master’s degree).

A law degree (LLB) in Legal Practice and Skills.

The Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

Eligibility: You will need at least three C’s at A Level and five GCSEs, including Maths and English, or equivalent, at Grade C/4 or above.

You need to have the right to work in the UK and have lived in the UK for the last three years.

Become a qualified Solicitor with our 6-year Solicitor Apprenticeship programme. Based in either our London or Birmingham office, you will study towards an LLB (Hons) in Legal Practice and Skills, and also work towards the Solicitors Regulatory Authority’s (SRA) centralised assessment, the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

 

Alongside your supported academic studies, you will participate in a comprehensive induction, regular training and a bespoke apprentice development plan delivered via the DLA Piper Academy.
